Bursaries for Future Media Masters now available
The Direct Marketing Foundation is to fund four postgraduate student bursaries, worth £4,000 each, for prospective applicants to Birmingham City University's new digital communications MA/MSc, Future Media: Pro.
Future Media: Pro, runs for the first time this September and has been co-created with leading global marketing communications firm McCann Erickson, digital marketing experts FOUND and mobile marketing specialist Mark Brill, to create highly employable graduates for the thriving digital communications industry.
For those wanting to enroll this autumn, four bursaries are currently on offer – covering 50 per cent of the course fee. However, the deadline for applications eligible for the bursary is fast approaching, closing on Tuesday, 17th July, 2012.
“Future Media: Pro brings a practical understanding and real world experience that isn’t available on any other courses currently available,” says Future Media tutor Mark Brill.
“Students are given live briefs and development projects. Using the skills they learn during the course, they will then be tasked with delivering a project in a commercial environment. By the end of Future Media: Pro, students will have gained the skills and portfolio necessary for working in the world of business.”
Students awarded the DM Foundation Bursary will get 50% off the cost of their course fee (normally £8,000 for EU students). To apply for the Bursary, simply apply for Future Media: Pro online at www.FutureMedia.me by 17th July 2012. Eligible applicants will then be offered the chance to be interviewed for the bursary award.
Similar in structure and design to acclaimed, games development course Gamer Camp, Future Media: Pro actually recreates the experience of working full-time to industry briefs within a digital communications agency.
Taking place over a year in the University's city centre training facility, NTI Birmingham, the postgraduate course provides highly specialist postgraduate training for the next generation of Marketing Assistants/Managers, Brand Strategists, Digital Designers, Content Producers, Web Analysts and Media Sales Executives.
