Creative England is today launching a new business development fund of £250,000 to support creative and digital businesses in the South West.
Applications of interest can now be made for the South West B2B Investment Fund by companies looking to grow by producing innovative technology, content and services, for the business market.
The new fund is targeted at companies with demonstrable high-growth potential which want to make a step change in their development.
It is the latest element of the £5m award from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund to Creative England in April 2012. This private sector-led scheme aims to provide development funding and market expertise to small creative and digital businesses working in cross-platform content and services.
Jim Farmery, Creative England’s Director of Business Development, said: “With the launch of this latest fund, I hope we can stimulate the development of some really interesting content and applications and support projects across the South West that otherwise would have struggled to get off the ground.”
Round 1 of the South West B2B Investment Fund totals £250,000 and will be made available via interest free loans of between £30,000 to £70,000 per application. Details of the Round 2 Fund will be published in early 2013.
The deadline for registrations of interest is 5pm on Friday, December 14 2012.
