Joanna Zhou

Joanna Zhou is a graphic designer and manga illustrator based in Vienna, Austria. She was born in China and studied at Central St Martins and Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. She spent many years working as a freelance comic artist, product and web designer before deciding to start her own business. She runs two of her own lifestyle brands, Maqaroon and Meme Gifts. Maqaroon is aimed at a young female market, featuring kawaii street fashion illustration and fun jewellery. MemeGifts is designed to explore the fast internet-joke culture using slow craftsmanship and painting. Joanna is most inspired by cute things, funny things, city life and bad music.
